JAMMU, Apr 20: Ghagwal police arrested two persons including a driver along with 90 illicit liquor pouches.
As per police spokesman, teams from Ghagwal police station, Rajpura police post and sleuths of DSB laid a naka near Rajpura and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02G-1048.
During checking, police recovered 50 pouches of illicit liquor from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who has been identified as Bishan Dass, son of Tej Ram of Kootah, Tehsil Hiranager.
A case under FIR Number 45/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at police station Ghagwal and investigation started.
Meanwhile, Ghagwal police also arrested a person along with 40 pouches of illicit liquor.
The accused has been identified as Kulbhushan Singh, son of Puran Singh, a resident of Tehsil Hiranager, District Kathua.
A case under FIR Number 46/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at police station Ghagwal and investigation started.
