Indian cricket wizards deserved a well-earned four test series victory over the Englishmen. The batting, bowling and fielding of the Indian team was of class and the more praises we shower on the team the more they deserve. Ravichandaan Ashwin outshines the entire team for his brilliant performance as the ace spinner of the winning team. He has been honoured with two well deserved awards, namely ICC Cricketer of the Year and the ICC Test Cricketer of the Year at the ICC Annual award.
With bagging these awards, Ashwin became only the third Indian player and 12th overall to win the prestigious Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy. We join the cricket fans of the country in extending felicitations to Ravichandran Ashwin for his brilliant performance and achievements and also the entire Indian team for this remarkable victory. In particular the coach of the Indian team deserves three cheers for his meticulous selection of the team and brilliant directions that took the team to glory and success. We know and this has been repeatedly proved by hindsight history that Indian cricket players have great potential of making remarkable performance better than any other country in the world, if there is proper guidance and encouragement. The Indian team has made the country proud. They have not only maintained the tradition but also added more to it.
