BHADERWAH, June 24: To pay tributes to martyr Naib Subedar Chunni Lal for his glorious saga of gallant acts, the Army observed “Shahidi Diwas”, today by organizing a customary event at Gatha Park, here today.
The ceremony commenced with wreath lying on the statue of the brave soldier who made the supreme sacrifice for the motherland upholding highest traditions of the Indian Army.
The ceremony was witnessed by a large number of people including veterans, war veterans, NCC cadets, youth and veer naris from Bhaderwah tehsil.
The series of gallant acts of the martyr has surely given him recognition as true epitome of bravery and sacrifice which one should emulate.
The forum was also used to enlighten all veterans and war veterans about latest welfare measures being extended by the Government.
