Tributes paid to GM Shah

JAMMU, Jan 6: Awami National Conference (ANC) paid floral tributes to former CM of J&K and founder of ANC, GM Shah on his 8th death anniversary.
Addressing the gathering, Gian Singh, provincial president ANC said that Shah throughout his life, remained affectionately committed to his people, always shared their pain and endeavored to mitigate their sufferings.
The eighth death anniversary of the Founder of ANC, Khwaja Ghulam Muhammad Shah, is being observed throughout the State to pay homage to one of the greatest leaders in the history of J&K ever, he added.
ANC President Jammu Urban, Vijay Mangotra said that Shah was an ardent advocate of the unity and integrity of the entire State under a single banner and worked relentlessly for upholding the rights of all its three regions. He even spurned power to uphold the solidarity of the State and honor of the people, he added.
Youth President Jammu District, Raj Sharma said that with a view to realizing the ambitions and dreams of the late leader, ANC under the leadership of Begum Khalidah Shah is relentlessly engaged in carrying forward his noble mission.
Highlighting the contributions of Shah, ANC Vice President District Jammu, Kewal Sharma and ANC Women Wing President Neelam Lahotra also expressed their views.
