KATHUA, Jan 27: Rich tributes were paid to Captain Sunil Choudhary on his tenth martyr day.
On the occasion, Minister for Forest and Environment Lal Singh was chief guest, who hoisted the National Flag at Captain Sunil Choudhary chowk here.
Army also paid tributes to the martyrs, which was followed by wreath lying ceremony.
Lal Singh accompanied by army officers, family members of martyr Captain Sunil, ex-servicemen and people in large number paid floral tribute to Martyr Captain Sunil Choudhary and memories his sacrifice for the sake of nation while fighting with Ulfa militants in North East on January 27, 2008.
While talking to media persons, Forest Minister Lal Singh said that all the family members of the martyr Captain Sunil Choudhary’s are serving the nation. He said the Pakistan is continuously violating the ceasefire violations and targeting the innocent people residing on the border of J&K to divert its internal issues of poverty and atrocities.
“Army and BSF personnel are giving befitting reply to Pakistan and have killed a large numbe of Pakistan rangers in retaliation fire”, the Minister added.
Colonel PL Choudhary, father of martyr said that his son attained martyrdom, while fighting with Ulfa militants. He appealed to the youth to join the security forces and serve the nation.
