Transporters defer strike till Wed in Kashmir

SRINAGAR: After all means of public transport stayed off the road for a day today in Kashmir valley, transporters have deferred the 72-hour-long strike till Wednesday following intervention of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.

From tomorrow there will be no strike till Wednesday. We have deferred our strike because we have been called by Ms Mehbooba for a meeting on Wednesday, a transporter said.

He said the future course of action will be decided only after meeting with the Chief Minister. Our future course of action will depend on the outcome of our meeting with the Chief Minister, he said. (AGENCIES)
