Transparency, accountability Govt’s top priority: Kohli

RAJOURI, Mar 13: Term-ing transparency and accountability as the benchmark of the present Coalition Government, the Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Ghani Kohli today said there is no space for corrupt practices and persons in the present Government.
The Minister was addressing an impressive gathering during a public grievances redressal camp at Kalakote here.
Locals briefed the Minister regarding various problems being faced by them including shortage of water and power supply, strengthening of interior link roads, old age and widow pension, special recruitment camps for unemployed youths and others.
Responding to the demands, the Minister said that all issues and projected demands will be resolved in due course of time after taking up the same with concerned departments.
He directed the concerned officers present to prove their best in solving the public grievances and timely completion of all developmental projects in the area. He assured that the developmental scenario of the area will be improved shortly as the Government has already initiated many projects.
The Minister urged the people to come forward and avail maximum benefits of the various welfare schemes and programmes being undertaken by the government. “The schemes being undertaken have a tremendous potential of changing the socio-economic profile of the people”, he added.
Terming inclusive growth and development of State as the priority of the government, the Minister said that developing each and every corner of the State is the aim of Government. “The Government is committed to create such an environment where every citizen should get his due right”, he said.
SDM Kalakote, officers of Sheep Husbandry, Animal Husbandry Fisheries, besides officers and officials of sectoral officers were present on the occasion.
