RAJOURI, Nov 2: Minister of State for Health, Shabir Ahmad Khan today laid foundation of way site amenity at Kot Bhrote.
The way site amenity would be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 35 lakh to facilitate the tourist visiting via Mughal Road.
Addressing public meetings at Bhrote and Sora Khadlan, the Minister said that varied tourism potential of Rajouri and Poonch districts is being explored fully by developing scenic spots and upgradation of tourist related infrastructure. He said eco-friendly tourism infrastructure at a cost of Rs. 9.20 crore is being constructed at Dara-ki-Gali. He said upgradation of TRC Shadara Sharief besides creation of way site facilities along Mughal road is also apace.
Shabir said upgradation and improvement of basic amenities in the area is priority of the Government, adding that in order to improve power scenario construction of Receiving Station at Bhatian has been taken up at a estimated cost of Rs 1.63 crore. He said Receiving Statio Thanamandi is being upgraded into 10MVA.
The Health Minister said that the present Coalition Government has set into motion a golden era of development, adding that an unprecedented era of development and peace has dawned in the State during the current dispensation. He said that every possible resource is being mobilized and pooled to provide basic facilities to the people with focus on equitable opportunities of development and uniform justice to backward and hilly areas. He said Government is abreast with the problems of the people and no stone will be left unturned to redress their grievances.
The Minister said that all-round development of hilly and border areas has received keen attention of the Government during last over four years. He said at present almost all the remote and hilly areas have basic facilities of education, health care, drinking water, road connectivity and power supply at their door steps.
