Top brass of RSS holds close door meeting

JAMMU, July 14: RSS Sarsangchalak (chief), Dr Mohan Rao Bhagwat arrived here early this morning along with senior functionaries of organization for eight days visit.
The RSS chief was accompanied by Sarkarivah second in chief in the Sangh hierarchy, Dr Bhaya Ji Joshi and four Seh Sarkarivahs, Dr Suresh Soni, Datatrya Hosbole, Dr Krishan Gopal and V Bhagya Ji.
The RSS leaders reached here through Rajdhani Express and straightway drove to Ved Mandir Complex Ambphalla where they will stay upto July 21. Dr Bhagwat soon after his arrival at Ved Mandir inaugurated the newly constructed Sangh Office there and participated in pooja.
Later a close door meeting of National Core Committee of Sangh was held at Ved Mandir complex under the leadership of Dr Bhagwat to discuss the agenda for three day Akhil Bhartiya Prant Pracharak Samelan to be held here from July 18 to July 20. This is for the first time in the RSS history of the country that the national level meeting of the Sangh is being held in the border State of J&K.
The Akhil Bhartiya Prant Pracharak Samelan will be attended by 95 Prant Pracharks and Seh Pracharks from the country besides the Sangthan Mantris of sister organizations of Sangh like BJP, VHP, Bajrang Dal, Sudeshi Jagran Manch, Vidhya Bharti, Sanaskar Bharti, etc.
These pracharks will reach here on July 18 morning. The prominent among them included BJP national general secretary (Org) Ram Lal, Vidhya Bharti, Sangthan Mantri, J M Kashipati, senior Pracharak and Akhil Bharti Sharirik Pramukh, Sunil Kulkarni, Akhil Bharti Bhodic Pramukh Swatranjan Ji, Pracharak Pramukh Madan Dass Devi, Akhil Bharti Samparakh Parmukh, Indresh Kumar and Seh Samparakh Parmukh Arun Ji.
Sources said that Madan Dass Devi was also scheduled to reach here today. However, he is likely to join the three day meet on July 18.
The Core Group meet will discuss the agenda to be taken up in three day Prant Pracharak Samelan. The various issues confronting the nation on political, social and economic front will be threadbare discussed in the three day Samelan and agenda will fix issue wise the topic for speakers.
The Samelan among other things will also deliberate over the threat being posed to the national unity and integrity due to cross border terrorism and other related issues, sources said, adding holding of the meeting for the first time in the State is strategically considered very important in the political circles.
The meeting will give a strong message to nationalist forces in the State that entire country is with them in their struggle against the cross border terrorism which is eating up vitals of the society and which the people of this border State have been facing for last 28 years now.
Sources said besides, the RSS wants to convey a strong message across the world that J&K is an integral part of India and there will be no compromise on national unity and integrity.
Sources said during the Core Group meet no State Office bearer of Sangh, BJP or its other sister organizations will be permitted to participate. Moreover, there will be no public meeting or interaction with the media during the stay of RSS national leadership in Jammu.
Sources said that elaborate security arrangements have been made around the Ved Mandir Complex and SSP, Jammu Sunil Gupta along with team of senior police officers himself took round of security arrangements in the Ved Mandir Complex.
