NEW DELHI, Apr 23: Quiet conditions prevailed at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today as prices’in move in a narrow range in restricted activity and settled at previous levels.
Moreover, absence of demand due to due to off-season too weighed on sentiment.
On the other hand, Muradnagar gur markets showed a better trend with prices rising by up to Rs 100 per quintal on paucity of stocks.
Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,100-3,200, pedi Rs 3,400-3,500, dhayya Rs 3,500-3,600 and shakkar Rs 3,600-3,700.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,500-2,550, chakku Rs 2,675-3,025, khurpa Rs 2,750-2,825 and Ladoo Rs 2,850-3,050.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,025-3,125 and dhayya Rs 3,150-3,175. (PTI)
