Three-day Int’l conference at KU from today

SRINAGAR, Mar 30: The Centre of Central Asian Studies, University of Kashmir (KU) in collaboration with Bedil International Foundation, New Delhi, is organizing a three-day International Conference on ”Literary Legacy of Indo-Central Asia, Afghanistan and Iran” in Gandhi Bhawan, KU from March 31.
A galaxy of academicians, scholars and diplomats from India, Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are participating in the event.
Dr Haseeb A Drabu, Finance Minister, will be the chief guest and shall inaugurate the conference. Prof Hakimah Dabiran, former Vice Chancellor, Az-Zahra University, Tehran, will deliver key note address. HE Ambassador of Turkmenistan in India, Parakhat H Durdyev and Prof Mirzo Mulloahmad, Director, Academy of Science, Dushanbe, Tajikistan, shall be the guests of honour.
Mohammad Shafi Pandith (IAS), chairman, Bedil International Foundation, will deliver a special address. Prof Khursheed Iqbal Andrabi, Vice Chancellor, KU, will preside over the function.
