Three burglars arrested, stolen items recovered

LEH, Dec 28: Police worked out a theft case with the arrest of three burglars and recovery of stolen items.
This was stated by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Headquarters Suraj Singh while interacting with media persons here today.
He informed that a complaint was filed by Yangchan Dolma of Choglamsar with Police Post Choglamsar stating that some unknown persons have stolen his LED, laptop, smart phones and household goods.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 101/17 under Sections 457 and 380 RPC was registered at Police Post Choglamsar and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, several suspects were picked up and out of them, three suspects broke down and confessed that they had committed the theft, DySP said, adding that the trio thieves have been arrested.
The arrested persons have been identified as Stanzin Lakpal, son of Phunchok Dorjey of Lungnak Zanskar, Stanzin Lapu, son of Tsewang Galik of Padum Zanskar and Lobzang Chakdor, son of Tsering Sangdup of Zanskar, DySP informed.
He stated that on their disclosure, stolen good including 3 LEDs, 2 laptops, digital camera, 2 Apple ipod, Apple iphone, 2 LPG cylinders, chinese blanket, Brosil glass set, juice glass set, Nike shoe, mustard oil, etc.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases.
Police team led by SHO Leh Inspector Tsewang Dorjey and assisted by Incharge Police Post Choglamsar SI Rigzin Gurmet made the arrest under the supervision of SSP Leh Sargun Shukla.
