Three arrested with Rs 44000 fake currency

JAMMU, Nov 4: RS Pura police today arrested three persons with fake currency worth Rs 44000.
According to a police official, after getting specific information a joint naka was laid at Bhatyari, Bishnah by Bishnah police and DSB officials. He said during naka checking, one Scooty bearing registration number JK02BU-2474 was intercepted and all three riders were thoroughly checked.
During checking, Rs 10,000 fake currency was recovered from Harmeet Singh son of Tarlok Singh of Sanjay Nagar Jammu, Rs 12000 from Mohinder Kumar alias Baba son of Janak Raj of Chak Bala, RS Pura and worth Rs 22000 fake currency from Ramesh Kumar alias Doctor son of Bhajan Lal of Chak Bala, RS Pura. All the recovered fake currency was in denomination of Rs 500 and Rs 2000 notes.
In this connection, a case FIR No 238/2017 under Section 489C RPC has been registered against all the three accused. The arrest and recovery was made by Insector Pritpal Singh, SHO Bishnah, along with DSB officials under the close supervision of SDPO RS Pura, Surinder Choudhary and SP HQ Jammu, RC Kotwal.
