JAMMU, Mar 15: Three persons were arrested by Channi Himmat police in mysterious death of a woman.
According to a police spokesman, a woman identified as Khushbir Kour wife of Narinder Singh, resident of Sector-F, Extension Sainik Colony, was found hanging at her residence in mysterious condition on March 13, following which her in-laws shifted her in an unconscious condition to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where she was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
In this connection, a case FIR No 33/2017 under Section 306 RPC stands was registered at police station Channi Himmat on the complaint of deceased woman’s parents, who had alleged in their complaint that their daughter was being harassed by her in-laws for last about two years.
Acting on the complaint, police has arrested the husband, father-in-law and mother-in-law of the deceased woman and further investigations in the case is going on.
