Three arrested with heroin

JAMMU, Jan 16: RS Pura police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested three persons and recovered 5.30 grams heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from RS Pura police station laid a naka at Agra Chak and asked three pedestrians to stop for checking.
On seeing police cops, the pedestrians tried to escape, but the cops intercepted them after a brief chase.
During checking, police recovered 5.30 grams heroin from the possession of the pedestrians and arrested them.
The accused have been identified as Charan Singh Sethi, son of Sodager Singh of Agrachack, Sunil alias Shillu, son of Raghubir Kapoor of RS Pura and Kuldip alias Kala, son of Hans Raj of Agrachak.
A case under FIR Number 10/17 under Section 8/21/22/29 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against them at police station RS Pura and investigation started to ascertain the source of this consignment.
Police team led by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and assisted by SHO RS Pura Inspector Bhushan Manhas made the arrest under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
