Thieves held, stolen vehicle recovered

RAMBAN, Aug 29: Dhamkund police nabbed two thieves from Bhathindi area of Jammu and recovered stolen vehicle from their possession.
As per police sources, Mohammad Lateef of Gandhari lodged a complaint with police that his Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK19-0430 has been stolen by thieves from outside his residence during the intervening night of August 26 and 27.
Acting accordingly, a case under FIR Number 22/15 under Section 379 RPC was registered at police station Dhamkund and manhunt was launched to nab the thieves.
On specific inputs, police team recovered the vehicle from Sunjwan area of Jammu and arrested two thieves.
The accused have been identified as Mohammad Arif, son of Abdul Ghani and Sikender Shah, son of Abdul Qayoom Shah, both residents of Gandhari.
Police team led by SHO Dhamkund police station Azeem Choudhary made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Mohammad Rafiq Choudhary and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar.
