MENDHAR, Feb 14: Some thieves broke into a house at Gohlad in Mendhar and decamped with cash and gold ornaments worth lakhs last night.
Reports said that incident took place when Kulbhushan Bakshi ( Retd Govt employee) and his wife- a Govt teacher, along with other family members had gone to Poonch to see their ailing relative yesterday. The family returned home this afternoon and found their main gate opened and the locks of other doors and almirahs’ also broken.
They immediately reported the matter to Mendhar Police. The police party led by SHO Anzir Mir reached the spot. The family told police that gold ornaments and cash was missing besides other electronic items. Even couple of bottles of costly whisky were also stolen by the burglars. The police registered a case and started investigation.
