Thieves arrested, stolen scooty recovered

JAMMU, Feb 8: Governm-ent Medical College (GMC) police arrested two thieves and recovered stolen scooty from their possession.
As per police sources, on February 6, a complaint was lodged by Saravpreet Kour, a MBBS student with police post GMC stating that some unidentified persons have stolen her scooty bearing registration on February 6.
Acting over the complaint, a case under relevant Sections was registered at Bakshi Nagar police station and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, GMC police arrested two thieves and recovered stolen scooty from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Daljit Singh, son of Kulbir Singh of Bhagwa District Doda, at present Kabir Colony Talab Tillo and Sahil Kumar, son of Kewal Krishan of Poonch House Talab Tillo.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain their identity in other theft cases.
Police team led by Incharge GMC police post SI Rajesh Verma made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Bakshi Nagar Inspector Ashwani Sharma, SDPO West Nikhal Rasgotra and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
