Thief arrested with stolen mobile phones, accessories

RAMBAN, Oct 3: Police arrested a thief and recovered stolen mobile phones and accessories.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Sadam Hussain, son of Mohammad Amin, with Police Station Ramban stating that some unidentified persons barged into his mobile shop at Bus Stand and decamped with mobile phones and some accessories during the intervening night of September 29 and 30 this year.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 148/17 under relevant Sections was registered at Ramban Police Station and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, several suspects were picked up for questioning and out of them one of the suspect namely Badshah Khan, son of Gulzar Ahmed Khan, a resident of Chamalwas, at present Maitra, District Ramban confessed that he had committed the theft and police arrested him.
On his disclosure, police recovered 3 stolen mobile phones and accessories worth around Rs 25,000.
Further questioning of the accused is going on.
Police team led by SHO Ramban Inspector Rajeshwar Singh and assisted by ASI Gurbachan Thapa made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Imtiyaz Ahmed and SSP Ramban Mohan Lal.
