JAMMU, Aug 1: Gharota police arrested a thief and recovered 4 stolen vehicles from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gharota Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a scooty.
During scrutinizing of documents, it came to fore that the scooty was stolen by the rider and police arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Mohammad Afzal, son of Mohammad Bashir, a resident of Ranjan, Gharota.
On his disclosure, police also recovered three more stolen motorcycles including a bullet.
As the scooty was stolen from the jurisdiction of Domana Police Station, the thief has been handed over to them for further questioning.
Police team led by SHO Gharota Inspector Gurmeet Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Munish Anand, SP Rural Dushyant Sharma and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
