JAMMU, Apr 17: A teenager girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in Nanak Nagar area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gandhi Nagar police station.
As per police sources, 17-year-old Priya, daughter of Gurucharan Singh, a resident of Sector 7, Nanak Nagar allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence.
Finding her hanging, family members informed the police and the body was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where after conducting autopsy the body was handed over to family members for last rites.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Gandhi Nagar police station and investigation started to ascertain the facts behind such extreme step.
