DODA, Jan 10: A teenage girl allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence, here.
As per police sources, a girl identified as Meena Devi (19), daughter of Chambail Singh, a resident of Bengra Koti allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her residence late last night.
Finding her unconscious, family members informed the police and shifted the girl to District Hospital, where doctors declared her as brought dead.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body of the deceased has been handed over to family members for last rites.
Inquest proceeding under Section 174 CrPC has been initiated by Doda police to ascertain the exact reason behind such extreme step.
