‘Tech Parivartan Science Awareness Mela’ held

JAMMU, Jan 28: The three days “Tech Parivartan Science Awareness Mela”, organized by Bhargava Degree College, Samba in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Students Welfare Society Anantnag and sponsored by National Council for Science and Technology communication (DST) Govt of India got underway, here today.
The objective of the event is to develop scientific temperament among the students and popularize science at the basic level.
Anwar Shah, Additional District Development Commissioner was the chief guest, while Parkash Sharma, Chairman of the Bhargava Educational Trust, Samba presided over the function.
The programme started with lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest. Principal of BDC presented welcome address, while Programme Coordinator, Prof Madhu Gupta gave the detailed account of the three days activities and motto behind such awareness Mela.
Shabir Ahmad Shabir, Secretary JKSWS gave detailed report of the activities and workshops conducted by the organization for the welfare of students community.
Students, staff and principals from various schools and colleges were present on the occasion.
The workshop was conducted by resource person, Yogesh Kumar, Scientific  Officer of Pragati  Vigyan  Sanstha Meerut, India on the basis of scientific  miracles.
