JAMMU, Feb 15: Highlig-hting demands of the teaching cadre, members of the Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum today held a strong protest demonstration cum dharna in front of the Directorate of School Education Jammu, here today.
Led by JKTF general secretary Ganesh  Khajuria, the protesting teachers raised slogans against the Education authorities and in support of their demands. Some of the protesting teachers were holding earthen pots in their hands for a symbolic begging from the Education authorities.
The protesting teachers were demanding immediate release of Master grade promotion list of February 2014 and their adjustment, release of salary under SSA, RMSA and  NPS schemes, removal of pay anomaly of Master Grade,  transfer policy in favour of Regularized RETs., regularization of Incharge Lecturers  and  Headmasters,  revival of Senior Teachers Grade in favour of under graduate teachers,  cancellation of all  types of teacher trainings during the peak academic session, provision of Mufassil Allowance in favour of teachers serving in Rural areas,   enhancement of Pay Grades of all cadres of teaching fraternity at par with the States of Himachal  Pardesh & Punjab and DPC of all cadres in the School Education Department..
While addressing the gathering, Ganesh Khajuria alleged that under a well planned conspiracy, the Government was deliberately withholding the promotion lists of various cadres of Jammu province to make them junior to their counterparts in Kashmir.  Further, he added,  the  Teachers and  Masters working under the SSA, RMSA and  NPS  schemes are  without salary for the last  eight to ten months but the Government seemed least bothered about their plights.
Among those,  who addressed the protest demonstration, included  Rajinder Gupta, Mohd Afzal Yog Raj Slathia, Gopal Singh, Surat Singh Tootani, Kuldeep Singh, Mohd Iqbal, Jamayat Ali Agah, Raj Singh, Darshan Sharma  and others.
They appealed the Chief Minister to personally intervene and take initative to resolve the just and genuine long pending demands of the teaching fraternity to save them from further harassment.
