Teachers Forum apprises Education Minister of loopholes in transfers

JAMMU, Mar 4: A delegation of JKTF headed by president EJAC and Chairman JKTF Ab  Qayoom Wani, called on Minister of  Education,  Syed Altaf Bukhari, regarding problems faced by teaching community in particular and employees of Education Department in general. The JKTF put forth the demand especially mismanagement in recent transfers in Kashmir division by side lining officers of Education Department, particularly ZEOs, CEOs and Joint Directors.
Wani pleaded that these transfers should have been done during winter vacation but unfortunately the same have been effected in the beginning of academic session, which has adversely effected the teaching process.
The Minister assured that necessary modification will be made on merit basis and the grievances of aggrieved teachers due to undue transfers will be resolved at an earliest and teachers will be provided justice.
The other demands putforth before the  Minister, included release of pending salary of teachers working under SSA, RMSA, NPS from last eight months, revocation of SRO regarding screening test at the time of promotion of  distance mode degree holders, regularization of all in-charge officers in Education Department, removal of pay anomaly of Masters, inclusion of 16 years service in the records of migrant substitute teachers, conformation of Masters promoted in 2014 and those adjusted against the vacancies of RMSA, implementation of transfer policy for regularized RET’s, implementation of minimum wages act in favour of contingent paid employees, etc.
Abdul Qayoom Wani was accompanied by Ganesh Khajuria, Mohd Rafiq Rather, Rajinder Gupta, Peer Nisar Ahmad, Jamayat Ali Aga, Toofani Singh, Darshan Sharma, Gopal Sharma, Farooq Ah Sofi, Kuldeep Singh, Raj Singh and others.
