Teachers Federation alleges Govt failure to streamline education system

JAMMU, Oct 19: A meeting of All  Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation has held today  to discuss the burning issues of the teaching fraternity, with special reference to alleged failure of the State Government to streamline the education system in J&K and fulfill the demands of employees.
The meet highlighted the demands,  including timely release of salary grants under RMSA, SSA, NPS and also Mid-Day Meal grants, filling up of vacant posts in School Education Department, cash in-lieu to the teachers on their retirement, Senior Teacher grade for under graduate teachers, immediate adjustment of promotee lecturers of Jammu in Commerce stream, adjustment of promoted Master of Jammu, etc.
While addressing the meeting, the Federation president, Balwan Singh Jamwal pointed towards ill working of the Education Department, which forced the Jammu based MLA to protest against the same in recently held Assembly session also.
Among those, who addressed the meeting, included Joginder Singh Manhas, Manga Ram Sharma, Sudershan Sharma, Vijay Sharma, Chaman Lal Sharma, Tara Chand, Shamsher Singh, Jeet Singh, Mohan Lal Sharma, Naresh Chowdhary, Yasin Ahmad, Sanjiwan Singh Jamwal, Rakesh Kalgotra, Jagdeep Singh, Sandal Singh, Pawan Kumar Gupta, Naresh Kumar, Satish Kumar, Som Raj Sharma and others.
