POONCH, June 7: A Government teacher and two others have been booked by police for attack on a person in Ari area of Mendhar Sub Division today.
A police spokesman said that one Yogesh Kumar, son of Jia Lal, resident of Ari village in Mendhar was allegedly attacked by a teacher Zaffar Iqbal, son of Munshi Khan, resident of Ari and his two sons- Bilal and Israr Khan. Yogesh was going to his farm and Master Zaffar and his son objected to it. There was exchange of hot words between them. Then all the three attacked Yogesh with lathis and blows and caused him severe injuries.
The victim was later shifted to Sub District Hospital, Mendhar by the locals. The Medical staff provided treatment and then referred him to District Hospital, Rajouri. SHO Mendhar, Mohd Amin said that an FIR No. 80/ 2018 has been registered against Zaffar and his two sons. He said the police parties were conducting raids to arrest them but they were still at large.
