Teacher killed, two injured as car plunges into gorge

BHADERWAH, Sept 30: A teacher was killed, while two others received serious injuries, when the Alto car they were traveling in, skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Sui Gwari area on Batote-Kishtwar National Highway today morning.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration Number JK17-3831 was on its way from Kishtwar to Doda, when the driver failed to negotiate a sharp curve and the vehicle landed into deep gorge near Sui Gwari area, resulting into serious injuries to three persons.
After getting information, police team along with army personnel rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to Army Hospital at Sui Gwari, where doctors declared one of them as brought dead.
The body of the deceased identified as Arvind Singh (23), son of Bram Singh, a resident of Gullu Kahara. The deceased was a Government teacher.
The injured identified as Rajinder Parihar (60), son of Sant Ram and his son Amit Parihar (25), residents of Matta Kishtwar were responding to the treatment, when last reports poured in.
A case in this regard has been registered at Doda Police Station and investigation started.
