JAMMU, Mar 15: To give boost to mountaineering and sport climbing in J&K Tawi Trekkers J&K, the biggest adventure organisation in J&K, shall register about 100 mountaineers and 200 sport climbers before organising a major mountaineering expedition in Ladakh area and a national level sport climbing competition at Jammu.
The registration will commence at 10 am on April 17, 2019 (Sunday) at Sprawling Buds ICSE School, Bantalab, Jammu and shall continue only for a limited period of time till the target is achieved. Annual registration for mountaineers and Sport climbers is Rs,1200 only.
The membership drive will be launched on the same day from the same venue.
The annual membership fee for students and non earning persons is just Rs 1200.

It may be mentioned that this year Tawi Trekkers J&K has a very ambitious plan of organising three mountaineering expeditions including an expedition to Mt. Elbrus in Russia, the highest peak of Europe; two mass trekking programmes for about 700 students in Dharamshala area of Himachal Pradesh besides three high altitude trekking expeditions for individual members and innumerable short treks to heritage sites and beauty spots of Jammu region for about 3000 students.
