JAMMU, Apr 12: Tawi Technical Campus at Shahpurkandi, Pathankot Annual Prize Distribution Function with zeal and zest in its College premises, today.
Apart from honouring the meritorious students of the year, the College felicitated the academic achievers of its first B.Tech Engineering batch of year 2012- 2016 and around hundred students of Tawi Engineering College were awarded B.Tech degrees by the Chief Guest, Dr. Balkar Singh, Director College Development IKG PTU, while the other dignitaries included Sukhwinder Singh, PCS, District Welfare Officer, Pathankot, Chairman Er. Vidhi S Singh Jamwal and Managing Director, Er. Renu Bangroo.
The function started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest and other dignitaries, which was followed by National Song “Vande Materam” presented by the students.
The Director of Tawi Engineering College, Dr. R. Abhilash highlighted the achievements of the College in past years and also glorified the consistent efforts of the management in field of technical education for up-gradation in the region.
The chief guest, Balkar Singh addressed the students and encouraged them for overall development besides the technical skills. He emphasized upon the need of value education in the present context.
The Programme concluded with the presentation of National Anthem.
