Jammu, Dec 28: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today allocated Tourism Ministry, which she was holding herself, to her brother Tassaduq Mufti.
Another newly inducted Minister Javed Mustafa Mir has been assigned the charge of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction and Floriculture.
The charge of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction has been taken from PDP Minister Abdul Rehman Veeri and assigned to Mir. The charge of Floriculture was held by the Chief Minister.
Veeri, while holding his portfolios of Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, has been given the charge of Haj and Auqaf, which was being held independently by outgoing Minister of State Farooq Ahmad Andrabi.
The Chief Minister has shed the portfolios of Tourism and Floriculture for Tassaduq and Mir. She now holds charge of Home, GAD, Planning, Information and Broadcasting, Hospitality and Protocol etc.
The departments held by Andrabi as Minister of State have been distributed among PDP’s two Ministers of State.
Asiea Naqash is now Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Social Welfare, Health and Medical Education, Power Development and Industries and Commerce while Zahoor Ahmad Mir is MoS Forest, Ecology and Environment, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Cooperatives, Fisheries and PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control.
However, there has been no change in the portfolios of Horticulture Minister Basharat Bukhari and Information Technology, Technical Education, Youth Services and Sports Minister Imran Raza Ansari, who had resigned after first reshuffle of the Ministry on February 17 this year over allotment of insignificant departments. However, they had taken their resignations back on some kind of assurance.
