Taryath CHC sans ambulance

Excelsior Correspondent
KALAKOTE, July 14: A large population from Taryath and adjoining half a dozen Panchayats, is facing lot of problems as the only Community Health Centre (CHC) at Taryath do not have an ambulance to shift the patients to Sunderbani, Kalakote or other areas.
The only small ambulance (Van) provided to the CHC about 11 years back could not get a registration number till today and it plied only on Chassis No. C-0616566 during last many years. The District Health authorities or BMO Kalakote never bothered to get this vehicle registered with the Transport authorities. This vehicle always remain out of order and people have to hire private vehicles for shifting their patients to the other places. The people alleged that this vehicle on earlier occasions was mostly being used for own purpose by the department.
One Om Parkash from Taryath told the Excelsior that people of the area are suffering for want of proper health care facilities. The hospital urgently needs a good Ambulance for shifting patients besides posting of doctors and other staff as several posts were lying vacant in the hospital.
