Taru Katoch Nargotra of Jammu is a celebrity now as she has been crowned Mrs Global India Sinagore-2015. She was also declared as Mrs Fitness and Mrs Elegant in the same contest `Mrs Global India Expat Singapore 2015′- the first of its kind pageant event, recently organized in Singapore.
With the sheer dint of her hard work as well as confidence, she achieved this feat and brought laurels to the State of J&K, particularly Jammu, where she is married.
36 year old Taru Katoch is better half of Rahul Nargotra of Gandhi Nagar Jammu, who is working with a multinational company and presently settled in Singapore. Married in 2002, she is mother of two lovely kids.
While sharing her experience on becoming Mrs Global India Singapore-2015, Taru told the Excelsior that it was an ecstasy that she would cherish for the rest of her life. “I held nothing back, performed my best, remained true to myself and emerged with even more purpose and strength,” she added.
“I know that this is the mark of success. It is not the crowning moment that matters; it is the moment that you realize everything of which you have dreamt has been there all along,” the beauty queen further said.
Acknowledging the family support, particularly her husband Rahul Nargotra, for her extraordinary feat, Taru said that she had no words to express thanks to her family, friends and well wishers for the endless love and support that was showered on her throughout her journey to the Mrs Singapore 2015 pageant. “Thank you all for helping me to rediscover myself and giving me the courage to take my walk on the Mrs Singapore stage,” she said.
Born in beautiful town of Pathankot in neighbouring Punjab, Taru is proud daughter of Advocate T R Katoch and Sneh Lata. She completed her schooling from the prestigious St Joseph’s Convent school, Pathankot from 1987 to 1997, then moved to Chandigarh and did her Graduation in Arts subjects from the Punjab University.
Even as this beauty queen is a housewife and mother of two kids, she is also a part time businesswoman and model. She has worked as shareholder in a leading Lebanese’s Restaurant. In addition to managing all these tasks, Taru also have her own fashion line `Poshak’-trendy wear for the modern and chick Indian women.
Though Taru always had a passion for modeling and has also done a three-month full time modeling course, this was for the first time that she participated in an event on national platform. “In May 2015, I got myself enrolled for the Mrs Global India Singapore and was crown the winner,” she informed.
The event was organized by internationally recognized Singapore based event company, AVA Events and Style Etiquette.
While elaborating about her immediate future plans, Taru said that she wants to do something good for the society in Singapore and the town of her in-laws, Jammu, by becoming brand ambassador for eco friendly companies and NGOs to promote world peace and harmony. “I am a full time mother to two kids and along with this, I am a socialite who likes to make new friends and take new challenges like `Poshak’, Lebanese restaurant etc,’ she elaborated and further said that her next goal is to represent Singapore on an international platform.
Reiterating that her family has been her greatest sources of inspiration and they really motivated her to achieve the goals, Taru did not forget to mention the names of Neelam and Joti Nargotra, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, respectively, for their love, affection and blessings.
