Tariq Khan’s film ‘2 Band Radio’ selected for UK Asian Film Festival

JAMMU, Mar 15: Despite volatile situation along LoC, son of soil Tariq Khan’s another film shot in Jammu and Poonch has been selected for the upcoming UK Asian Film Festival and would be screened in world premiere.
Tariq and his group has already gained applause and recognition and found a niche among the international audience with their films like Identity Card, Mantostaan and Lihaaf.
The film titled ‘2 Band Radio’ has been produced by Tariq Khan and Zeba. It a unique satirical feature film written by Rahat Kazmi, Kunwar Shakti Singh and directed by debutant Saki Shah.
Tariq disclosed that the film is set in the 70s in a Himalayan village where people have never seen a radio ever and how first radio in the village becomes the reason for a big mess.
Pradhuman Singh, ‘Tere Bin Laden’ fame actor shall be seen in main lead in this film with NSD’s senior actress Neelu Dogra and UK based actor Jitendra Rai, Tariq Khan, Ritu Rajput, Rahat Kazmi, Zahid Qureshi, Hussan Khan are in supporting roles.
Saki Shah, director of the film said, “The film is relevant in today’s times because it is about greed and how it leads to frustration and depression.”
Producers and actors are excited about the first successful milestone which is the film’s selection in UK Asian Film Festival. The crew of this film is gearing up for London to attend the world premiere of 2 Band Radio. The film would be released commercially later this year.
