JAMMU, Jan 30: CPI (M) MLA Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami today staged walkout in protest against US President Donald Trump’s decision of banning people of seven countries from entering the United States.
As soon as the Legislative Assembly assembled this morning, Tarigami went into the well of the House amidst slogans “down with racist Donald Trump”, “down with terrorist Trump” and “long live unity of the people of the world”.
“The decision of banning the people is unfortunate and it will have effects globally”, he told the House, adding “this decision is going to polarize the world and endanger the lives of the innocents”.
He further said that the decision will further strengthen and give boost to terrorism and sense of insecurity will also prevail among the Muslims living in the United States. “This order lacks logic and it is by all standards uncivilized and blatantly unconstitutional”, he further said and appealed the people to join the millions world over in their protests against this order of Donald Trump.
Later, Tarigami staged walkout while shouting slogans in solidarity with the victims of this, which he alleged, disastrous order.
