SRINAGAR, Oct 9: M Y Tarigami, MLA Kulgam, met Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan, here today.
Tarigami discussed important matters with the Governor relating to the restoration of peace and normalcy in the State and also raised issues regarding the need to secure balanced development of Kulgam district.
Appreciating Tarigami’s continuing endeavours the Governor agreed with the senior Legislator that it would not be possible to achieve optimum growth and development unless we were able to secure sustained normalcy in the State. Governor urged Tarigami to particularly counsel parents and teachers to see that students were protected from being dragged into law and order situations.
Ghulam Hassan Mir, former Minister and President of Democratic Party Nationalist also met Governor.
In the course of extensive discussions Mir informed the Governor about certain pressing issues which need urgent attention for restoring peace and normalcy in the State. Governor appreciated Mir’s initiatives to advise and guide the youth and encourage togetherness to take the State forward.
