Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Nov 13: Chief patron of J&K National Panthers Party (NPP) Prof Bhim Singh today said that hundreds of Talwara migrants, mostly camping at Talwara village near Reasi and parts of Jammu shall hold a protest march from Jammu to Delhi if not paid relief at par with Kashmiri migrants besides all their arrears (about Rs 54 crores) according to the judgment of the Supreme Court of India dated July 13, 2006.
Talking to media-persons here Prof Singh accompanied by members of Talwara Action Committee said that these migrants shall hold fast unto death in front of Prime Minister Modi’s residence, 7 Race Course in New Delhi. They have been totally ignored by the PMO as they have not been included in the recently announced package for the J&K.
Bhim Singh accused the Congress, PDP and BJP leadership of playing foul with the migrants of Jammu as they belong to Jammu region and the rulers have been hostile to Jammu Pradesh. The NPP supremo said that the Panthers Party had been supporting them from the streets to the Supreme Court from their rotting camps to the Legislature seeking justice and equity for them. He said that the Jammu migrants had been discriminated with like any other Jammuites by the ruling parties. The migrants from Jammu have never been given the relief according to the rule and Supreme Court order. The contempt application is pending in the High Court against the Central and State Governments in 2008.
The Jammu (Talwara) migrants have not been provided relief according to the SC order. Their children have been deprived to all facilities provided to the Kashmiri migrants. Their cases are pending before the SC since 2007 and before the High Court in contempt case for defying SC order. The only way out is to march from Jammu to Delhi and resort to fast outside PM House. NPP leader said the protest march shall start, if the Jammu migrants are not provided all their dues by December 15, 2015.
