SAMBA, Aug 1: Samba Police today arrested one Talib Hussian, the mastermind in organizing the protests in much publicized Rassana kidnapping and murder case and creating a Hindu -Muslim divide in the region from his hideout at Tral in South Kashmir district of Pulwama.
Samba Police has slapped a FIR No 211/2018 under Section 376 RPC, 4/25 Arms Act against him. The arrest was made by a team of Samba Police from Tral area today and he will be brought here tomorrow, a police spokesman said.
The FIR was filed in the PS Samba by one of the relatives of Talib Hussian namely Arjuman Begum, 30, wife of Basat Ali of Chairawa Mansar who alleged that one and a half month back she had gone to Chadwa jungles to graze her cattle and Talib Hussian , S/o Haji Abdul Bakerwal of Kakrel tehsil, Majalta of district Udhampur, who is also her relative, met her in the forest.
She further, in her report, said that Hussian was armed with a Tokka (a sharp edged weapon) and with an intention to rape his relative, he thrashed her on ground and tried to rape her. The lady protested and raised hue and cry. She forcibly freed herself from his clutches but Hussian threatened her by showing the Tokka and warned that if she narrated about the same to any one, he will kill her.
The lady said that due to fear, she could not narrate the issue to any one and on July 31 she informed the same to her husband. She appealed the police in her application that necessary action be taken against Hussian.
Samba Police said that on the basis of the application of lady offence under Section 376 RPC and 4/25 Arms Act has been initiated against Talib and FIR No. 211/2018 U/S 376 RPC and 4/25 Arms Act has been registered in police station Samba against him.
The Police said it is a special case first in that area and first of its own type. The investigation of the case was given to ASI Kulwant Singh, Incharge Police Post Mansar.
To arrest the culprit, the Samba police send its team to Kashmir and on a tip off arrested Hussain from his hideout in Tral area of South Kashmir district of Pulwama.
It may be recalled that Talib Hussian was mastermind in arranging protests in Rassana murder case and instigating people to violence by creating a communal divide among the different communities.
