UDHAMPUR, Feb 28: Expressing grave concern over the burgeoning corruption in Ramnagar, Harsh Dev Singh JKNPP Chairman and Former Minister today urged upon various vigilante organizations including SVO, Crime Branch and District Vigilance Officers to take appropriate and early action into the reports of large scale irregularities in the implementation of various schemes in the said constituency.
Harsh Dev Singh was addressing a public gathering at Bus Stand Ramnagar today.
He said that a well knit mafia enjoying political patronage was operational in Ramnagar which managed contracts for developmental works from almost all departments including R&B, RDD, PHE etc by circumventing the codal procedures.
He added that while payments were being drawn against works in connivance with officers, the delivery was shockingly negligible rather nonexistent on the ground. He said that with hardly any sign of new development activity visible on the ground during the last two years, the Ramnagar constituency craved for development with the govt. departments showing huge expenditure having been incurred on the papers.
Pointing towards numerous omissions and commissions in the implementation of State and Centrally sponsored schemes, Singh alleged large scale loot and plunder of funds meant for development works by the unholy politician-contractor nexus.
Among others, who spoke included Pushpinder Singh, Arun Dev, Aksh Kharka, Sunil Singh and Mohammad Farooq.
