KATRA, Mar 16: Two-day national symposium on ‘Road to Resurgence: Indigenous Learning for Business and Society’, being organized by School of Business, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, began here today
In his key note address in the inaugural session, Prof Rajendra Kumar Gupta, researcher of high repute, who has nurtured scholars at IIM and MDI under his service, emphasized upon the requirements of resurgence of Indian thinking and contribution of original Indian theories to the world.
Dr Sanjeev Jain, the Vice Chancellor, SMVDU, in his message said that the platform such as this symposium are required to deliberate on the issues for revisiting the galore of our traditional learning for futuristic discourses.
Prof D Mukhopadhyay, Dean, Faculty of Management, provided insight for the importance of such programs. HOD, School Of Business Dr Ashutosh Vashishtha said that the country requires the research that is rooted in the Indian ethos and its time when we can relive the Indian glory.
Dr Saurabh, organizing secretary, informed that the program is being attended by the scholars from scholars of various institutions of India. Dr Ashish Pandey, SJMSOM, IIT Bombay, took a workshop on research for resurgence. Dr Pankaj Mehta focused upon the sustainability of Green Building for resurgence. Dr Vishawajeet Pendse, Nagpur, provided his insight upon the requirement of Indian research and informed the audience upon the Research for Resurgence foundation.
This symposium had a panel discussion which included some of the renowned Professors Dr Rajendra K Gupta, as moderator, Prof D Mukhopadhyay, Dean, Faculty of Management, Arch. Aditya Singh, Deptt. of Architecture, Dr Sunil Wanchoo, Deptt of Physics, Dr Madhu Mangal Chaturvedi, Deptt Of Philosophy and Culture, Dr Vandana Sharma, Dean Humanities and Dr Vishwajeet Pendse. The panel deliberated upon the promising areas for Research for Resurgence.
The inaugural ended with an energetic session conducted by Dr Ashish Pandey.
