Swarn Vihar residents list demands

JAMMU, Jan 6: Swarn Vihar Welfare Association in its meeting today has expressed concern over the delay -delaying tactics adopted by the authorities in settling the long pending demands of the area.
The meeting said that people of the colony ere facing many hardships due to lack of transport facilities and they have to travel over two kilometers by foot to a nearest matador service. The meeting said that the school going children and college goers including the old and infirm are facing much trouble as they have to travel a long distance in getting the matador.
Besides, the authorities have also failed to black top the colony roads and there is immediate need of installation of two transformers in the area to meet the need of the people as the colony is thickly populated and also has expanded to a vast area.
The meeting demanded immediate street lighting of the colony lanes and by lanes.
