JAMMU, Jan 28: Saint, scholar Anand Swami Pran Nath Bhat Gareeb (Bhaijee) passed away after a brief ill, here today.
The Swami Ji is survived by his wife, son, daughter and son-in-law.
He was cremated at Bantalab Cremation ground, wherein a large number of devotees attended the funeral procession.
Popularly known as Bhaijee Gareeb among his devotees, he was a scholar of great repute and was well versed with scriptures. He has also authored a number of devotional books which includes Sanjeevani and has released a number of CDs. He worked tirelessly for the community after the migration of KPs.
He also conducted a number of religious congregations not only in Jammu but in other parts of the Country as well. As a social reformer, he made a great impact on society.
