JAMMU, Jan 27: Shri Martand Tirath Trust organised a hawan on the occasion of Surya Saptami (birthday of Martand) at Surya Bhawan , Paloura near here.
The programme started with welcome speech of Hari Krishan Sidha publicity secretary of the Trust. During his welcome speech he spoke on the importance and significance of Martand shrine and Surya Saptami. Salegram Bawnoo, general secretary of the Trust threw light on the importance of Martand Trust.
Ashok Kumar Sidha, president of the Trust highlighted the importance of Surya Saptami and role of Shri Martand Tirath Trust.
A musical programme was presented by Shanti Lal Sidh, M K Tickoo, Anil Kumar Tickoo and their parties.
Leaders of various Kashmiri Pandits organisation were present on this occasion. Sermons were delivered by Swami Kumar Ji of Geeta Satsang Ashram while Dr Agnishekhar convener PK also spoke on the occasion. The function culminated with Prasad Vitran Samaroh.
The hawan started on started on January 25, 2015 and culminated with Puran Ahuthi on Monday January 26.
