Sunil tours Padder villages, takes stock of people’s problems

KISHTWAR, July 15: Minister of State for Transport, PWD (R&B), Revenue, RDD and Panchayti Raj, Agricultural Production, Sunil Kumar Sharma, conducted a tour of Padder area and took stock of people’s problems.
During the visit, Minister visited Ligri, Sohal, Tunkhai, Hamidraun, Shail, Pandhel, Suriyan, Gwari, Maati, Taati, and Massu villages. He was accompanied by all the sectoral officers of the Sub-division.
While interacting with the people at the far-flung hamlets, Minister said that in past three years, Government has done a lot for the upliftment of downtrodden and needy people. He said that in terms of road connectivity, the maximum funds have been kept for the utilization in the district. What was promised in polls is turning into the reality, he added.
Many people complained the Minister about the absentee culture in the Government departments. The Minister without wasting any time asked SDM Padder to take strict action against those who are making mockery of their duties.
Addressing people during public meetings, the Minister assured that there will be complete availability of ration at the stores, as the AD CAPD have already been directed to check the requirement and needs of the area.
The Minister also held a grievance redressal camp at Gulabgarh during which various grievances were resolved on spot and noted for consideration by concerned heads of the different departments on the directions of the Minister.
The MoS also flagged of the mega rural electrification scheme under “Deen Dayal Upadhyay schme” launched by Central Government in which the required material including 8000 electric poles will be installed in the area which will make the whole area electrified in near future.
