NEW DELHI, Feb 28: Senior journalist Vimal Sumbly has been appointed Consultant /advisor to Union Information and Broadcasting Minister, Manish Tiwari.
The order to this effect was issued here today by the Central Government. Sumbly is a senior journalist with an experience of over two decades in the print media.
Sumbly who belongs to J&K has worked with various news organizations including PTI, The Tribune, The Kashmir Times, The Sakal and South Asian Free Press. He has regularly been writing for various newspapers including the Daily Excelsior.
He has also worked with the former Punjab Chief Minister Capt, Amrinder Singh as his press secretary.
Before joining I&B Ministry he was working as the Editor, Punjab Newsline.
