Sulabh celebrates foundation day

JAMMU, Mar 5: Sulabh International a Social Service Organization an internationally acclaimed NGO working in the sanitation sector celebrated its 47th foundation day at its headquarters at Trikuta Nagar here by lightning the ceremonial lamp and Sulabh prayer.
Anil Kumar Singh, Honorary Controller J&K division, organized and convened the foundation day programme which was graced by Brahm Dutt Sharma, Suraj Mani, Dr Pankaj Mehta, Assistant Professor working with Department of Environmental Sciences at CUJ, Dr Gopal Parthasarthi Sharma and Opinder Sharma leading social activists, Abdul Latif Goni along with other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Anil Kumar Singh introduced the concept of Sulabh International Social Service Organization which was founded in the year 1970 by Dr Bindeshwar Pathak, Padma Bhushan an active sociologist and social reformer to answer the problem of safe disposal of human excreta.
Dr Gopal Parthasarthi Sharma also highlighted that how policy need to be framed and implemented at the State Government level to make the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan a grand success.
