Sukhnandan takes stock of people’s grievances

JAMMU, Sept 23: Former Minister & MLA Marh, Ch Sukhnandan Kumar today visited Baba Zulla Basti Hazuri Bagh and took stock of various development works being executed in the area under Central Government’s RURBAN Scheme.
The MLA said the Shayama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission (SPMRM) aims at development of rural areas and rural growth clusters.
He said in J&K especially in Jammu Division, Gole Gujral Cluster village also including Trilokpur, Khaiyrian, Gole Gujral and parts of Hazuri Bagh was chosen by the Central Government which will be developed as per urban area.
The MLA also listened to the grievances of the people of the area and addressed the same on the spot.
He directed the concerned departments to speed up the developmental works and complete them well before stipulated time.
He announced the construction of two lanes in the locality and sanctioned five electric poles on the spot for the area. Sukhnandan asked the concerned officials to complete these lanes before October 31.
People of the area while complimenting the MLA said that he has addressed long pending demands of the area.
While addressing the public gathering, Sukhnandan highlighted various other schemes launched by the Narendra Modi led Union Government especially for the welfare of the rural people and farmers.
He also highlighted the achievements of the BJP lead Government at Centre and said it gave a liberal assistance to the State and many developmental projects and schemes have been taken under hand. He said the work on Akhnoor road towards which successive Congress and NC governments failed to pay attention has been started, besides a grand ring road will be constructed around Jammu.
He said the good news for farming community is that a Seed Processing Plant is being established at Kathua where farmers can be given high yielding seed to increase their income. The foundation of the seed processing plant was laid recently by Union Minister in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh, he added.
Ex Sarpanch, Raj Kumar Sharma, Onkar Singh, Kartar Chand and other people of the area were present on the occasion.
