JAMMU, Jan 5: Continuing its tradition to spread the message of love, peace and compassion “Devotional Heights”, an evening of sufi and spiritual music was organised jointly by Art of Living Jammu Chapter and Nirvana Academy today at Police Auditorium, Gulshan Ground. Ankit Batra a noted sufi and devotional singer from Delhi performed on the occasion and enthralled the audience with a varied repertoire of songs. Earlier Ankit Batra was welcomed by Shantmanu along with Bharat Bhushan Phool, Teacher Cordinator and Hitesh Badyal President Nirvana Academy. A large number of dignitaries along with people from all walks of life witnessed the evening of bliss for cause. The event also marked taking pledge to protect the girl child in which the audience took a pledge. A signature campaign was also organised on the occasion. The pledge was an initiative of Art of Living, UNICEF and also strongly supported by Nirvana Academy. People were also requested to organize events to take the girl pledge and also organise group pledges in their homes, communities, schools, colleges and organisations. Ankit Batra while spreading the message to protect girl child said with the increasing cases of violence and abuse against women and the girl child, the girl pledge campaign could make a huge difference and your support means a lot. The audience was made aware of Art Of Living’s latest initiative Lay A brick Gift and Gift A Future Project for the betterment of society.
