This has reference to the news item ‘Nuclear Submarine Arihant successfully completes first deterrence patrol’ DE Nov 6.
Arihant’s presence will certainly give a boost to India’s defence capabilities. The presence of Arihant also showcases India’s growing self reliance on indigenous technology.
India has never pursued aggressive policies towards its neighbouring countries, or threatened them with military might. Rather, it is opposite of it. India has been facing brunt of militancy in J&K for last 30 years. The country faced much loss in terms of men and material. Even then, India believes in peaceful resolution of any dispute that may be there.
But India has every right to maintain its terretorial integrity at any cost. It has to take every such action which may ensure the safety of its borders. It is only military might that may ensure the dignity, honour and safety of the countrymen. It is also a key to India’s growth story.
