Students protest against BOSE

SRINAGAR, Oct 28: Dozens of Class 12 students protested against the Board of School Education authorities for setting up “out of syllabus” question paper in the Mathematics subject.
After assembling at Press Enclave here this evening, the irate students said the BOSE officials were playing with their career by setting up questions which were not in the syllabus set up by BOSE.
“BOSE officials are doing injustice with us. They asked us questions in the paper which we have not studied during the academic session. Such topics or lessons set up are not in our syllabus,” the agitated students said.
The students were also accompanied by their parents in the protest who also fumed against the BOSE authorities.
Secretary BOSE, Renu Goswami, told Excelsior that they would take a representation from the aggrieved students and form an expert team to seek their opinion about the Mathematics question paper.
“In case, if some questions have been asked out of syllabus the BOSE will punish the paper setter by dissociating him/her for life from setting up papers for BOSE. And the students will be compensated. We will do justice with the students as they are our own children,” Goswani said.
BOSE had earlier announced the dates for holding Class 12 examinations from today. Thousands of students appeared in the examinations in different streams including Medical, Non-medical, Arts and Home Science and others.
